
The Lord God said, “I am the Lord thy God…thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God and a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me: and shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments”.Let us be thankful and so worship the living and Almighty God through the Lord Jesus Christ acceptably with reverence and fear, in spirit and truth with clear hands and pure hearts. All the praise be to Him from the everlasting to everlasting. He is majestic in holiness, awesome in glory and working wonders. As it is written in the word of God, “Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God; Him shalt thou serve, and to Him shalt thou cleave”, The Lord Almighty God warned the Israelites through Samuel the prophet, “Only fear the Lord, and serve Him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things He hath done for you. But if ye shall still do wickedly, you shall be consumed, both ye and your king”. Then again it is said thus, “Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling”. For the Lord our God always seeks such a worship that is with fear and in truth. Therefore, we must fear the Lord, and serve Him in sincerity and in truth. St. Paul an apostle of Christ Jesus our Lord
is saying about worship, “I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting”. And in Psalms it is written, “Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who shall stand in His holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully”. And for the women it is written, “But every woman that prayth or prophesiet with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered, Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered? “Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live, and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.” It is said in the word of God that whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, giving thanks to God the Father through Him”. Clothing in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety is the discrimination of human being. To dress modestly, with decency and propriety is commendable in God's sight. It also differentiates between humankind and an animal. In the very beginning when Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden and they were naked, the Lord God Almighty made garments of skin for Adam and his wife Eve and clothed them. The Lord Almighty God warned, “The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord”. Even in the New Testament we read about long hairs a man has. It is said, “Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering. If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no other practice-nor do the Churches of God”. The Holy Bible also demands men and women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety. “In like manner also, those
women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; but (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works”. Again it is said thus, “whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on a apparel; but let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement”. What says the Lord Almighty God about the daughters of Zion? “Moreover the Lord saith, “Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet: therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and Lord will discover their secret parts. In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments
about their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon, the chains and the bracelets, and the mufflers, the bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings, the rings, and nose jewels, the changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins, the glasses, and the linen, and the hoods, and the vails. And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty”. Marriage between one man and one woman is honourable. According to the Holy Bible, marriage between one man and one woman is an honourable, praiseworthy, an auspicious, a platonic love, a beautiful, marvelous and a joyous event in human life. Biblical precedent for marriage is a union between man and a woman. All other sexual relationships, regardless of orientation, are sinful and ought be avoided by Christians. It is written in the word of God that the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being. And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him an helper meet for him…and gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an helper meet for him. And the Lord caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; and the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made He a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called woman, because she was taken out of man”. Here we see in the very beginning the Lord God made them male and female and joined them together as husband
and wife. The Lord God created them male and female, Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve, or not Eve and Mary. He did not joint them male and male, or female and female. Sex is a God gifted quality or ability which God put in living being's body to be received with love and chastity for breeding as God blessed our ancestors Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden to be fruitful and increasing in numbers on the earth. Breeding in living beings and bring them with ties of love and peace sex is an essential element, God created in all living beings that are on the earth or under the earth or in the sky. But we see the mankind (as a most eminent of all created beings) has exchange this God gifted virtue and a marvelous quality with sexual immorality. They are filled with sexual impurity and debauchery. It is a great abomination and rebellion against the Lord God Almighty. So we read in the Holy Bible as thus, “Wherefore, God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonors their own bodies between themselves: For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the women, burned in their lust one toward another; men
with men (homosexuality and same- sex marriages) working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them”. It is said in the word of God also, “No Israelite man or woman is to become a temple prostitute. You must not bring the earnings of a female prostitute into the house of the Lord your God to pay any vow, because the Lord your God detests them both.” For it is better to marry than to burn because according to the word of God, “Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge”. Again it is written thus,“For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: that every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; not in the lust of concupiscence, even as
