BERACHAH CHURCH (A PLACE OF PRAISE, PRAYERS AND WORSHIP THE LORD.)

What a beautiful  and an excellent name is  given to the Jesus' followers ?, “Body of Christ”  to those who believe in His name, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy and baptized by one Spirit to be one Body in Christ Jesus our Lord.

But can we say  this Church of present evil age of ill assorted Christian’s denominations, a true Church? Having different school of thoughts with different Christian theologies?

Can we say this present Church that is shattered fragments is a true Church the Body of Christ.

What does the Holy Bible say ?  The Church is the Body of Christ means the assembly of those people who are sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy. As it is said in the word of God, “Now you are the Body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it”.(1-Corinthians 12:27)“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, as holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called out of darkness into His marvelous light: which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy”. (1-Peter 2:9-10) So the Church is a model sample of unity and holiness in Christ Jesus into the word. Therefore, it is written thus, “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. (1-Corinthians 1::10)   I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with long suffering, forbearing one another in love; endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the  bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism. One God and one Father  of all, who  is  above  all;  and  through  all, and  in you all”.  (Ephesians 4:1-6)   If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, fulfill ye my joy, that ye be like--minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteems other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus". Philippians 2:1-5) We may be the believers, the Baptists, the Pentecostal, the Adventists, the Presbyterians or United Presbyterians ,Full Gospel Assemblies, Only Jesus Christ or some other denominations  but or we the Church, the Christ's Body? Or we are One in Christ Jesus our Lord? What kind of unity seeks our Lord Jesus Christ unto His believers or followers? It is said in the word of God, “And He gave some apostles; and some, prophets; and some evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; or the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ: till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ”. (Ephesians 4:11-13) Our Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ prayed, “I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name - the name you gave me - so that they may be one as we are one.” (John 17:11) So we see how our Lord the Saviour Christ Jesus wishes that His disciples must be one in Him? They may be perfectly united in mind and heart, in spirit, in thought and mouth. He said again, “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them ay be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they me be one as we are one. I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me”. (John 17:20-23)

1.There must be unconditional unity in the Church according to the word of God.

In the New Testament it is written thus, “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:26-28) There is given suggestion to the Christians in the word of God. We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Each of us should please his neighbour for his good, to build him up. For even Christ did not please Himself but as it is written, “The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.” For every thing that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope. May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a Spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. (Romans 15:1-7)

2. Believers are the parts ofChrist's Body(the Church)

"The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body-whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free-and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Now the body is not made up of one part but of many. If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, but one body. The eye can not say to the hand, “I don't need you.” And the head can not say to the feet, “I do not need you!” On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable and the parts that we hank are less honourable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpreventable are treated with special modesty, while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it. So that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; If one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.”(1-Corinthians 12:12-27)

  3. The Church is the house of God:

It is told in the word of God that the Christ is faithful as a Son over God's House. And we are His house, if we hold on to our courage and the hope of which we boast. The saint Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus says, “If I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God's Household, which is the Church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth”. (1-Timothy 3:15) And saint Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ stated as, “As you come to Him, the living stone- rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to Him- you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ”. (1-Peter 2:4-5)

  4. The Church is the Temple of God:

The Lord's believers are the Temple of God and He dwells among them. The Lord Almighty God said to Moses, “And let them make me a Sanctuary (a Temple); that I may dwell among them”.  (Exodus 25:8)  Now–a-days we see how nominal Christians rejoice and boast of their big Church buildings. According to the word of God we know, the Most High does not live in houses made by men. As the Lord God says, “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build for me? Says the Lord. Or where will my resting place be? Has not my hand made all these things”. (Acts 7:48-50) Therefore, it is said in the word of God, “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are”. (1---Corinthians 3:16-17) And again it is said, “What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?  For ye are bought   with a price: therefore, glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's”. (1-Corinthians 6:19-20)

5. The Church is the Spring of water of eternal life:

The Lord Jesus Christ said to the Samaritan woman, “But whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life”. (John 4:14) Actually, by this, the Lord Jesus meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were latter to receive. As He said to their epistles, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him. By this He meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified”. (John 7:37-38)

 6. Yoking with unbelievers is hatred toward God:

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship an light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of living God. AS God said, “I will live  with them and walk among them, and I will be their God and they will be my people.” “Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean things, and I will receive you.”  “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” (2-Corinthians 6:14-18)  “You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.” (James 4:4)
